Champagne Joseph Desruets

Cuvée IV

In 2012, Matthias Desruets embarked on oak barrel winemaking. From this passion, and after many years of hard work and promising tastings, Cuvée IV was born. The pinnacle of the M&T collection, imagined by the Desruets brothers, Cuvée IV is a masterpiece of balance, exactingstandards and refinement.

Bottling

  • Bottle 75 cl

Robe

The color is a deep, intense gold. In the glass, a fine, regular and dynamic effervescence.

Flavour

This rare wine is the ultimate expression of the Hautvillers terroir: a subtle balance between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The palate offers an elegant, round attack, then unfolds its silky touch, carried by a certain salinity and a hint of minerality.

Savor

Intense notes of candied citrus, yellow fruit and toasted almond. The finish asserts itself with a lovely freshness complemented by lightly smoky aromas, giving it a dynamic, chiseled complexity typical of the Desruets style.

Food Pairing

2016 was a complicated year, full of uncertainties, a year in which mankind had to rely on and trust nature. The result was a vintage marked by dense rainfall and elegant, refreshing acidity. The Cuvée IV combines with a blue lobster grilled with butter, a fricassee of crayfish and white fish.

To be served at 9-10°C.
